Employment Specialists
F/T and P/T positions available - Pay $10-$12.50 an hour DOE
Staff is responsible for assisting customer in all aspects of locating,
obtaining and maintaining employment. The staff must excel at time
management and professionalism. Staff will be allotted a caseload and
expected to serve customers needs through to completion of the program.
Daily activities of pre-placement will include helping customers find
job leads, contacting employers and setting up interviews.
Staff will also help customers do mock interviews and pick out appropriate attire
for any potential interviews. After placement the staff will go with
the customer to their place of employment and assist them in becoming
independent in the workplace. Post placement activities include on
the job training, mediating communications between co-workers and customer, assisting
in the initial stages of learning a job and helping the employer find
and implement any necessary accommodations. Position also requires
the ability to be creative and find solutions to any barriers related
to customers’ success on the job.
Supported Living Staff
F/T and P/T positions available - Pay $9-$11 an hour DOE
Staff provides one on one hourly
support to assist customers in their day to day activities, in an independent
setting. Staff will help customers to live as independently as possible
by providing supervision, training and assistance in activities of daily
living and other social aspects of the customers’ lives. The customer’s
individual needs are assessed and focus is put on areas of interest or
concern. The job always entails the maintenance of the person’s health
and safety, personal care services, chore attendant care, medication
observation and advocacy services as needed. The supported living staff
is also responsible for assisting the customers with miscellaneous activities
such as transportation to access community activities and shopping, keeping
track of money, bills and socialization.
